Walking system

The function of the walking system is to support the weight of the whole vehicle and load, ensure the stability of operation and the comfort of riding. The walking system mainly includes frame, front fork, front shock absorber, rear shock absorber, wheel, etc.

(1) Frame: it is the skeleton of the whole motorcycle, welded by steel pipe and steel plate. It connects the engine, gearbox, front fork and rear suspension with high strength and rigidity. Small motorcycles mostly use steel plate stamping, welding from the spine frame. General motorcycles use welded steel tube frame, cradle frame or steel plate, steel tube combination frame. Some high-power engine motorcycles use steel tube welded double bracket cradle frame.

(2) Front fork: the front fork is the guiding mechanism of the motorcycle, which organically connects the frame with the front wheel. The front fork is composed of front shock absorber, upper and lower connecting plates, and steering column. The steering column and the lower connecting plate are welded together, and the steering column is sheathed in the front sleeve of the frame. In order to make the steering column move flexibly, an axial thrust ball bearing is installed at the upper and lower journal parts of the steering column, and the left and right front shock absorbers are connected into the front fork through the upper and lower connecting plates.

(3) Front and rear shock absorbers: the front shock absorbers are used to attenuate the vibration caused by the impact load of the front wheels and keep the motorcycle running smoothly.

The rear shock absorber and the rear rocker arm of the frame constitute the rear suspension device of the motorcycle. The rear suspension device is an elastic connection device between the frame and the rear wheel, which bears the load of the motorcycle, reduces and absorbs the impact and vibration transmitted to the rear rotation due to uneven road surface.

(4) Wheel: the front wheel of the motorcycle is the guide wheel, and the rear wheel is the driving wheel. The wheel is composed of tire (inner and outer), rim, spoke, wheel hub, brake ring, bearing, front and rear axle. The wheel rim (steel ring) is rolled and welded by steel plate, the wheel hub is die cast by aluminum alloy, and the brake steel ring is inlaid and die cast as a whole, with flanges at both ends to install spokes. The spokes are similar in shape to bicycle spokes and are used to connect the wheel rim and hub. The wheel hub is equipped with brake, the front wheel is also equipped with worm wheel and worm of speedometer, and the rear wheel is equipped with driving mechanism.
